The PH Certificate is a 15-hour non-degree program that is available both online and on-campus. The program has four required courses and one elective.

Community and Pyschosocial Aspects of Public Health

PHLS 5130

Epidemiological Approaches to Disease Control and Prevention

PHLS 5150

Environmental Public Health Issues

PHLS 5140 or 5160

Health Services System: Administration and Organization or Public Health Policy Analysis

PHLS Elective

Any course from the PHLS offerings

 

All PH Certificate applicants must use the NMSU online admissions portal.

NOTE: PH Certificate students may apply for the complete MPH degree program during or after completion of their certificate courses.  All certificate courses are directly transferred and will count towards the certificate and MPH Degree if you decide to complete both.
