Professors Satya Rao and Cindy Kratzke led the program integrating a culture of health and advocacy

Students and teachers in various Las Cruces High School classes are getting excited to begin developing projects for integrating a culture of health and advocacy into their communities. Ten undergraduate NMSU Public Health students attended a peer educator workshop led by Ruben Marquez in preparation to teach the health advocacy curriculum. They will conduct training from September to November at the high school. The program is led by professors Satya Rao and Cindy Kratzke, Dept. of Public Health Sciences, and funded by a 2016 Con Alma Foundation Community grant.
