Dr. Julie Reagan received her MPH and PhD in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Public Health in 1995 and 2010, respectively. Dr. Reagan is also an attorney with over 20 years of practice experience in state government, working primarily at public health agencies. She earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1993. She is licensed to practice law in Texas.
Dr. Reagan’s teaching and research endeavors focus on the areas of health policy and management, health law, public health law, and health care administration.
Dr. Reagan is a nationally recognized legal expert in the field of healthcare-associated infections. In 2018, she was awarded the Jennifer Robbins Award for the Practice of Public Health Law by the American Public Health Association, Law Section.
